Total Time 5 minutes (plus 20 minutes longer if you don’t have simple syrup)

  • Lime
  • 12 mint leaves
  • 1 ½ oz Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Simple Syrup* or Honey
  • 1 oz Cal & Gary's Premium White Rum (optional)
  • 1 355 ml can Founders & Farmers Lager
  • 5-6 Ice cubes
  • 1 cup crushed Ice
  • Mint sprig, for garnish
  • Lime wedge, for garnish

*Simple Syrup

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup sugar

How to make it

  1. In the bottom of a cocktail shaker or pint glass, muddle the mint leaves, simple syrup or honey, lime juice and rum.
  2. Add a few ice cubes and shake or stir vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Strain into a salt rimmed pint glass filled one third full with crushed ice and top with an ice cold Lager.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge and sprig of fresh mint.
  1. To make the simple syrup, just combine the sugar and water, heat until the sugar is dissolved and cool to room temperature.
