Guardaccia Cellars

After 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry many of which were spent as an on-premise wine buyer for various top restaurant groups, one consistent theme kept re-appearing. Guests were looking to experience new wines at a comfortable price, without sacrificing quality. Not finding a single label option, Guardacaccia was born.

Guardacaccia exists to bring that quality from some of the best growing regions in the world, in partnership with growers that have deep connections to the lands they farm.  Using varietals native to the regions, we produce wines with a true sense of place.

Darren holds certificates in both Enology and Viticulture majoring in the economics of wine from Washington State University as well as WSET Diploma in wines. Darren still makes his home here in Calgary.
